ProductionNext is suspending operations, as of September 22, 2020.

When we created ProductionNext, we saw it as a place where filmmakers could build their projects, collaborate with their colleagues, and connect their work into the worldwide filmmaking community. However, an honest look at our attempt to build a viable business around this vision has made it clear that the demand for the services we have been able to provide simply isn't what we had hoped, and that it's not reasonable to expect that devoting more time, effort, and money to this effort would produce a more successful outcome. As a result, we've decided that it's time to conclude our work on ProductionNext.

We want to do this in as responsible a way as possible — even though the numbers are not what we need or would like, we know that there are people out there whose ongoing projects depend on us. We regret and are sorry for the inconvenience that this change will have on them, and we want to do what we can to help them bring their use of ProductionNext to a reasonable conclusion. To that end:

  • Effective immediately — June 23, 2020 — we will no longer be accepting new member registrations.
  • All existing member accounts will remain active, with free access to the BetaPlus tools, until September 22, 2020, at which time the ProductionNext site will be removed from operation. You will continue to have the same access to all your projects and other site features that you currently have until that time.
  • Also on September 22, 2020, we will arrange pro-rated refunds for those members who had ongoing annual or monthly memberships at the time when we suspended charging for the BetaPlus tools due to the COVID-19 crisis (April 22, 2020). We'll contact the affected members in September to arrange these refunds.

If you have any questions about this process, or anything else, please get in touch with us at support@productionnext.com.

Finally: we want to extend our thanks and appreciation to all of you for participating in ProductionNext. This is not ending in the way that any of us would have preferred, but we hope that you have gotten some value out of our efforts, and it's been an honor to have served you. Best of luck to all of you as you continue your work and your filmmaking careers.
