It was negative 50 degrees in January 2012. Tal Fletcher and Grant Korgan were freezing, uncomfortable and halfway across the southern polar plateau. When warm enough to talk, they wondered how any movie could do justice to the intensity of their experience. On Nov. 4, “The Push” will screen to two sold-out houses at Fletcher’s “hometown” theater, The Lark. Not only did Fletcher guide Korgan on his successful expedition to become the first spinal cord-injured athlete to “push” himself on a sit ski for nearly 100 miles to the South Pole, but they became an award-winning producer-director team. “The Push” has won 11 awards to date, including the best documentary prize at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. https://www.marinij.com/2018/10/28/filmmaker-treks-from-marin-roots-to-south-pole/

Last week I wrote about how despite this company being primarily run by two CisHet white guys, we still think that diversity in film and media is absolutely vital.  Well, the same is still true, but our advisory board is 100% female, so we practice what we preach when it comes to the topic of...
